mum and dad’s friendly music co. was founded by mum and dad — two married musicians who accidentally learned how to run a band like a small business. they recorded their own music, booked their own tours, flew themselves across the country, signed licensing deals, and somehow lived to tell the tale.

after spending years learning all this, they realised most of the knowledge that artists need is weirdly gatekept or just never explained.

so instead of keeping it all secret like some might, we decided to build a place where people could learn how to do it themselves — with support, with community, and with no shame for asking “dumb” questions. So we asked aunty Yael to jump on board, and here we are.

we’re not here to own your masters or take a percentage. we’re here to help artists understand how the whole thing works, and make the australian music scene a little more transparent, more connected, and more fun.
